Mapping DC neighborhoods to NYC?

So here’s a question: do you think you could map DC neighborhoods to neighborhoods in NYC?

For example: is Adams Morgan like the Village? Mount Pleasant, Park Slope?

I ask because I came across this “San Francisco guide to New York,” and I wondered how DC’ers would feel about making similar comparisons.
