See "POTUS Among Us"

The other day I lamented the fact that local media don't include improv shows in their "weekly picks" and the like, no matter how much marketing we in the improv community do. (I remember opening up the Chicago equivalent of the City Paper on a visit there last spring, and having a brief freak-out moment when I saw that improv was not only featured, it was its own *category* in the weekly listings. And people there really know how to review an improv show, too, beyond "hey, they made it up!" or "this isn't as good as Shakespeare.")
Well, like a good politician, I know when to admit I was wrong; this morning, I was thrilled to see that POTUS Among Us, the main show in Washington Improv Theater's fall lineup, is an Editor's Pick on washingtonpost.com, and is also featured on the Going Out Gurus blog. Huzzah!
In case you don't know (and I didn't), "POTUS" is the Secret Service code name for President of the United States. The show is a send-up of U.S. elections, politics and political media, and is showing at Source Theater on 14th Street (right next door to Bar Pilar) every Friday and Saturday in September at 8pm. Check it out!
Buy tickets online in advance or at the door ($15).

Thanks for the plug! Fun to see WIT getting all this attention. I personally attribute it to having such remarkable photos, but I suppose other people have done their parts as well. ;-)
