Blog rhymes with frog

I am on a see-saw with this blog these days. I go through periods where I can't wait to post something every day, and periods (like the last week) when I just don't have anything to say. And I'm not gonna post just for the sake of it. Except for right now.

Ok, I do have something to say: this week I've tried to get back into daily journal writing and it is crazy how much it's like oxygen for me. I think, "eh, no big deal, I won't write in my journal today," and then today turns into many days, and then I am a sad, sad camper. Then I pick up a pen and start writing and feel alive, and present, in a whole new way.

In The Artist's Way (aka my gospel), Julia Cameron writes that it's harder not to create than it is to just create. For some reason that's a lesson I keep needing to learn over and over again.

I agree with your last point...ignoring your body/soul/mind's intense urge to create something takes such an enormous toll after a while. Just give in and spend 30 minutes writing/painting/singing/playing an instrument/acting/whatevering and you can have a huge impact on the quality of your day/week/life.
