Today I found out that the owner of our apartment building is a famous photographer. Also, while reading Food & Wine magazine (which, for some reason, came in the mail, even though I don’t subscribe), I was reading about a Japanese restaurant in the East Village when I realized: hey! That’s my neighborhood. And my face broke out into a huge grin…that’s when it really clicked. We are going to live in New York.

I don’t think I can fully express how excited I am for you and Jordan, and how glad I am that we’ve had the chance to connect online so that I get this unique perspective. I am thrilled for you (a bit jealous maybe, too) and enjoying what you share about the journey. That you are both in a place where you can make this happen because it is what you *want* is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
Sarah, what a wonderfully kind and lovely thing to say. THANK YOU. Having friends and family who really believe in what we’re doing has been so helpful…
You’re having New York moments already, and you haven’t even moved there yet. Awesome. Who’s the photographer?
Jen, his name is Timothy Greenfield-Sanders: http://www.greenfield-sanders.com/
Isn’t that a cool feeling? “I live there!” (or will)
I just spent a weekend in NY and venturing around the East Village – totally fell in love with that neighborhood. We had dinner at this little mexican restaurant called “Itzocan Cafe” and it was AMAZING. Good luck on your adventures!
