Ok, so it’s not one of my comprehensive lists from days of yore*, but I wanted to flag two things happening this week:

• TUESDAY – Speakeasy DC

  This month’s theme: “Mix Tape – Stories about a single song that made an impact.” The venue: Station-9, that place you walk past without noticing on U Street, which is actually a pretty cool spot styled after a classic supper club. • FRIDAY – A WIT ValentineWIT as in, Washington Improv Theater, as in: funny ha-ha. An alternative to the saccharine sweet, Hallmark-induced Valentine’s Day events populating the landscape. My group, JINX, is part of the set, so…there’s that. More info

*NOTE, I’d love to bring these back, but they’re so damned time consuming to put together.
