Geeky question alert

by Amanda on September 8, 2007

Hi – sorry for the geeky question, but I noticed that traffic to Creative DC spiked yesterday, thanks to a site called stumbleupon.com. Can anyone tell me how I can track down which post of mine was recommended by a stumbleupon user? Thanks in advance!

I noticed you’ve got Google Analytics installed. Look under the report heading, “Traffic Sources – Referring Sites.” Click on the source title, stumbledupon.com and you should be able to drill-down to the actual “referral path.” That may help track it down.

Thanks Tom! But when I do that, it just lists the referring page as this generic page:
http://www.stumbleupon.com/refer.php

They don’t make it easy over at stumbleupon.com… You may need to sign-up with them to see if you can track the listing down that way. It looks like they recommend sites based on what you like. Since you like your own site, maybe they’ll recommend it to you!
